Hotel del Oso 
COSGAYA, near POTES CANTABRIA
A superb granite built hotel which has some lovely rooms with beamed ceilings and lovely views across the valley only some 9km from Funte De where the cable car whisks you to great heights within four minutes!
The hotel has a large open air pool, one tennis court and pleasant gardens with magnificent views of the Picos mountain range.
There are two buildings all with very new bedrooms of average size but with excellent en suite bathrooms with polished stone floors and walls. All have a bath with shower over, washbasin and WC.
Downstairs – a lovely snug wood panelled bar, a large restaurant with a wide choice a la carte menu and an extensive wine list which we thought expensive – but the quality was good. Several lounges and the English speaking staff have good advice and local maps for exploring the nearby mountains.
