Expo Hotel -
Situated 100 yards from the central station, this
low rise hotel is perhaps one of the cheapest four
stars in the city. It has very easy access to the
city centre by train or metro - only 5 stops from
Cataluna Square, and is very good value for money
as it competes with much larger establishments.
The bedrooms are average
sized but large enough to sleep three people, having
a sofa bed as standard, and are fully air conditioned
with good views of the city. Each has en suite
bathroom with bath and shower above, wc, washbasin
and hairdryer. The usual mini bar, and TV are supplied.
Downstairs is a rather
small lounge reception area, and there is a pleasant
breakfast room and a separate a la carte restaurant
on the first floor. For sun lovers, there is a
rooftop sundeck with loungers and possibly with
smallest swimming pool in Barcelona. A bar service
is offered here and good views of the city.
