Lake Maggiore Hotels

HOTEL CANNERO

Truly a four star hotel located directly on the lake in an almost traffic free zone in the centre of Cannero Riviera with it’s cobbled, twisting narrow streets leading uphill from the lake.

A very pleasant hotel which we have known for a decade and which has improved each year in quality and service – family owned and run it offers comfort, style and quality cuisine. The hotel also offers a separate, adjacent building some quality apartments which we also offer.

The hotel has a very nice pool and terrace area and there are several car parks and one tennis court is available. The hotel offers Bed and Breakfast with a wide buffet choice, half board with a wide choice of dishes and also an A La Carte menu.
The rooms that we offer are the standard rooms, which overlook the pool and garden area. There is a premium for lakeside rooms and for superior rooms which are shown as a supplement per person.

APARTMENTS

Unlike the hotel there are no lifts to these three star quality apartments which are designed to sleep two to four persons and are ideal for a young family – the facilities of the hotel including breakfast (6 euros per person) or half board (22 euros per person) is available.

Each apartment has an entrance hallway into a large living room with a dining area and a kitchenette which has a sink unit, two hot plates and a fridge. There is a solid sofa bed for 2 persons, a separate double bedroom and a pleasant bathroom with boxed shower, WC etc.

Some of the apartments have balconies and are available on request only.

Cleaning of the apartment daily is included into the rates.

HOTEL LIDO, STRESA
(3 star superior)

We try our best to choose hotels that are not situated directly on busy lakeside road and which are away from noise. The Lido Hotel is down by the tiny ferry port at least 500 metres from the main road and the traffic. The Hotel’s superb lakeside setting offers walks that lead along the shore, past the Borromee Islands – world famous for their Italian gardens.

The Lido has a quality plus factor that are linked with attention to detail having a large indoor pool and where on top there are lawned gardens for first floor guests to enjoy.

All of the rooms are air conditioned and we would say that the quality of most rooms is bordering on four star with excellent bathrooms, air conditioning, satellite TV and balconies, some leading on to the gardens.

We can offer any duration of stay here assuming a minimum of three nights. The hotel is just 50 metres stroll from the lake and the ferry boats that ply across the lake.

The centre of Stresa is about 2km away along a pleasant walk along the lakeside paths.

At the end of a quiet little road which is about 4km from the lake side but in a location which offers panoramic views of the lake.

A remarkable setting, tranquil and surrounded by trees and shrubs. Truly a stress free zone!

In the centre of Cannero Riviera this modern apartment is on the second floor (no lift) and only a few minutes walk to the lake shops and the promenade.

Plenty of space although it has only one bedroom it consists of own entrance into a living room with two single sofa beds and French windows onto a covered terrace with outdoor furniture. There is a separate fully fitted kitchen with a dining area. Bathroom with shower WC. One good sized bedroom with a double bed. Central heating if required.

Once a merchant’s house recently nicely converted into three apartments which are in the centre of the village in a quiet sector with its own gardens and a barbecue area. There is also a shared laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

The only parking is in the nearby car park. Our agents will advise.

Ground floor having the advantage of a small enclosed garden and a shady terrace although only designed to sleep 2 – 4 persons there is lots of space in the living room which has a double sofa bed, satellite TV and a fully fitted high quality kitchen with stainless steel oven and four hot plates. One large double bedroom and very modern bathroom with boxed shower, a wash basin and WC.

First floor with some 10 steps to climb this first class apartment has a good sized lounge with an alcove kitchen (oven, four hot plates etc). a large bedroom which has bunk beds and an extra single bed and a second bedroom with a double bed. Very pleasant bathroom with boxed shower etc.

Again a first floor apartment with equally good furnishings as the others – has an added balcony and small garden as an advantage. Contains a large living room with a double sofa bed. Outside is a super sized terrace with part views of the lake is surrounded by trees offering shade from the midday sun.

Clients have a parking space and an electronic key to the huge metal gates into the gravel drive that leads to the house.

Once a large country estate and its original manor house is now converted into apartments. This park like setting contains three modern residences which share the imposing grounds full of shrubs and huge shady trees.

The grounds lead down to Lake Maggiori (busy road to cross) and on the lake is a private beach and gardens which contain two tennis courts, a large swimming pool and a paddling pool.

Located 26km from Stresa and just 6km from Cannero Riviera both offering restaurants, bars and shops.

Detached cottage bungalow with mountain and lake views in a great position on one of the roads leading to the village of Trarego.

Comfortable lounge with easy chairs and a dining corner. Rather narrow separate kitchen which however offers an oven and four hot plates.

A few internal steps to the upper part of the house which contains two bedrooms – one a twin with an extra sofa bed and one double bedroom. Bathroom with bath and shower & screen over WC. There is a music centre supplied.

One special point there are some 14 steps from the roadway and there is one car parking space just off the road.

Wooded grounds with high trees which regrettably now hide what once would have been impressive views of the lake about 3km from Cannero.
