Holidays
in Northern Spain |
|
Northern Spain could be entitled the real Spain - because it is unspoilt by mass tourism. In addition, unbelievably, the entire population speak Spanish. Green Spain - this green and handsome land stretching from Bilbao to La Coruna about 300 miles, has such a varied landscape from the breathtaking Picos mountains and National Park of Cantabria to the fiord like rivers that flow from the mountains of Galicia to the sea. The region offers such a depth of styles in architecture, landscape and the very people who all retain a mystic celtic connection with Breton and Irish traditions. In the map below we have highlighted, in shades of green, the areas in which we offer holiday accommodation in Northern Spain. The area known as "Galicia" covers La Caruna; Logo and Ponte Vedra. Our Pyrenees properties are in the regions of Navarra and La Rioja. We have organised our site into these geographic areas and you can click on the respective green area of the map that interests you to see the properties we have on offer. In addition to our properties in Northern Spain we have some properties in the "Minho" region of Northern Portugal, which you may also view by clicking on the red area of the map. |
Holiday
Homes - self catering accommodation,
villas, apartments and hotels.
Galicia which is made up of La Caruna, Ponte Vedra and Lugo offers superb scenery, wide open beaches and a is reminiscent of a warm Fjord in Norway - with the hills and valleys, there are many vineyards producing top quality wines such as the Albarino whites.
Asturias and Cantabria are famous for the wonderful scenery of the breathtaking Picos mountains and National Park of Cantabria. The coast line has some large sandy beaches and the seafood is second to none! we offer a wide selection of accommodation close to Suances, Comillas, Llanes, Potes and Ribadesella.
La Rioja and Navarra are in the northern Pyrenees and offer wide open spaces, hills and vineyards of the famous Rioja wines. Part of the area is in the infamous Basque region constantly at odds over independence by separatists however away from San Sebastian there is very little risk to tourists.
