Christmas Markets - Coach Trips to Rhine Valley Markets
Spend time exploring the Drosselgasse in Rüdesheim, the Romerplatz in Frankfurt and the Altstadt in Cologne for a truly memorable Christmas market experience!
DAY 1 Travel from your local joining point for a Channel crossing and then onward to your hotel in Belgium.
DAY 2 Cologne (included). We head into Germany and travel to the grand city of Cologne to see the Christmas markets. There is also plenty of entertainment on offer as Christmas approaches, with a variety of markets, Christmas concerts, nativity scene displays and a huge temporary ice rink.
After time in the city, continue to your hotel in the Rhine Valley. B, D
DAY 3 Rhine Valley (included), Rhine Cruise (optional). We enjoy an excursion to the majestic Rhine Valley, visiting many of the riverside villages and towns in this picturesque area of Germany. Enjoy a cruise along the River Rhine (optional), before spending time at the Christmas market in Rüdesheim. The festively decorated Christmas stalls offer handmade arts and crafts, many created right in front of you, such as candles, decorations and wood figures. Of course, festive dishes from the region, and the famous mulled wine, will also be available. B, D
DAY 4 Frankfurt-am-Main (optional). The Frankfurt Christmas Market is one of Germany’s oldest and most beautiful. The decorated stalls and historical backdrop of the Romerberg and St. Paul’s Square make a Christmas experience you’ll never forget. B, D
DAY 5 To Calais for our return journey home. B

YOUR HOTELS
You’ll stay for three nights at the 3-star Hotel Alte Bauernschänke in charming Assmannshausen in the Rhine Valley. The hotel is typically Rhineland in style, with an atmosphere to match. There’s a lift, restaurant and large bar area. All bedrooms have TV, telephone and safe. Due to demand, the Hotel Unter den Linden and the Rheinhotel Lamm will also be used.
Both are 3 star hotels in Assmannshausen.
Overnight stay in Belgium will be in a city style hotel.
On dates marked R the itinerary will operate in reverse (reverse itinerary dates have 2 dinners in Assmannshausen).
The last night will be in Belgium on a B&B basis.
